Welcome to the Etowah Council Website!
We are pleased that you have expressed interest in the Knights of Columbus and particularly in Council 12826 which is affiliated with Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Canton, Georgia.
Our mission is to extend the outreach of the Knights, the Church, the Clergy and the Community.
The byword of the Knights is: “ I am my Brothers Keeper”.
Membership in the Knights of Columbus is made up of Catholic men over the age of 18. One of my goals for Etowah Council is to grow our membership by 6 new members this year.
Etowah Council also embodies a Ladies Auxiliary which is generally supportive of our Fund Raising Activities and Social Events involving the parishioners of Our Lady Of LaSalette. Their motto is “Helping Knights Help Others”.
Speaking of Fund Raising, we are currently participating in a KOC statewide effort entitled Frontline Faith which provides MP3 players containing music and spiritual messages to our servicemen . We also support a program to provide wheelchairs to servicemen who have lost mobility through service to our country. Additionally, we support the Ultrasound effort of the Knights in providing these diagnostic machines to medical clinics and third world hospitals.
And that’s not all; we have a youth program that provides activities for young people such as the soccer outreach program, the free throw challenge and social events for teens.
